Procurement relates to the process of obtaining goods, usually the raw materials associated with the product being manufactured.
Companies have processes and methods for obtaining the goods to insure that there are no kickbacks involved and that the best price is obtained.
It is a recognized profession and you can be certified in procurement through organizations such as IACCM.

He should always look around in the market about price and new products
