Let's say you'd like to have two babys.
After the second birth that you gave can you get your tubes tied right away?
Same day, same place?
Have you had it done?

Hi. I have 2 children & yes I've had a tubaligation. I had it done during my C-Section when having my second child. I am 33. You should be able to have an in depth discussion with your doctor about this. I had my own reasons. I always knew I only wanted 2 children, no matter what. Mentally, Emotionally & Financially, that's all I ever planned to have time for. I like enjoying both my children equally. I cannot give them the time they need & want if I had more children.

So, be sure this is what you want. No matter what changes life may bring you, because it's pretty much permanent. They don't tie the tubes anymore. The tubes are cut & burned (so to speak). This is to avoid them becoming undone & resulting in a tubal pregnancy, which was more common than people realized.

When I had it done, my doctor pointed out some things to me at the time, I was 26.

A few things to check with your doctor on:
1 - If you are married, by law your husband has to sign a consent form
2 - If you are under 25, doctors won't perform the procedure.
3 - Is the procedure still to cut & burn or do they tie them again?

These were the rules/laws back then. I don't know if anything has changed.

Just take some time out to be sure of your decision. Best of Luck To You!

Getting Tubes Tied After Delivery

2016-11-07 02:56:19 · answer #2 · answered by gia 4 · 0 0

They made me wait 1 full year after my second child was born before they would tie my tubes; they gave 2 reasons. First, I was still fairly young (26) and I could change my mind and want more children and second, something could happen to the baby. (ie.SIDS).
I'm sure if you looked hard enough you could probaly find a Dr. that would do it.
I did have my tubes tied when I was 27 and I have not regretted it.

Now everyone can cure infertility using this natural remedy http://pregnancyhelps.info
infertility can run in the family and one of the first things the doctor asks you when you go to a fertility clinic is your family history regarding cases of infertility or other reproductive issues.
If infertility is caused by genetic disorder then it's not unusual that one of the kids (your mom) doesn't have it and another does (your aunt).
two months of trying is still to early to be concerned about the fact that you might be infertile and it's also quite early to go to a fertility specialist. Go to a regular Obgyb to get a closer insight and see what ways there are are to improve your fertility rate.
Also remove alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes from your life because they might influence your chances too. Stress is also a risk factor when it comes to infertility.

Yes, you can. It is something you need to discuss with your doctor in advance. They will have you fill out all of the paperwork at one of your appointments and explain what the procedure will be. I had my tubes tied after my 3rd child. I had to wait about 4 hours after my delivery to have it done(due to crowded operating rooms) but you can have it done the same day at the same hospital.

When you can't get pregnant, and things look good from the outside, it can be extremely frustrating.
The first thing to consider is how long have you been trying. About 80% of couples will get pregnant after six months of trying, and about 90% will be pregnant after 12 months of trying to get pregnant. Anyway this is a great method to get pregnant fast:
