People that were kids during the early 80's would probably remember this best. When I was little, I had a (I guess you could call it a board game) game called Hungry Hungry Hippos. It was square shaped, with a plastic hippo in each corner, and a bowl shaped center full of white marbles. Each hippo was a different, bright neon color and had a lever for a tail that when you pushed it down, the hippo's mouth could come open and move forward to grab the marbles, which would go thru the hippo into a little collection point nearby. The objective was to get as many marbles as fast as you could, then everyone counted their marbles when they were all gone.
This was such a simple, stupid game, but for some reason me and my friends loved it and would play with it all the time. I was just wondering if anyone else out there had similar recollections.

YES! i had that game! my mom hated it when my sister and i played because it made so much noise! i think you can still buy that game at places like toys-r-us

I used to love that game... I would act like the hippos were so hungry that they would eat my finger tips...
my mom even had to buy me a new one b/c the first one i got, i actually fed food to the hippos so it got ruined. :)
Damn, I hadnt though of that game in so long... my son would absolutely love that game.. I gotta find it for him for Christmas!

This was one of my favorite games when I was a kid. The only problem was I always spilt the marbles and got in trouble.

Oh yeah! BUT...I grew up and found that you could take a game like SORRY, each time you got sent back, you had to take a shot of whiskey. I don't remember if I ever won or lost, though...

Remember it quite well. Actually my dad still has mine. I'm 37 now but he saves everything.
