If I had to pick I'd say the New York Mets. They would be followed by the Yankees, but I like the depth and speed of the Mets offense.

Jose Reyes, easily the most exciting player in baseball, sets the table with his high on-base percentage, coupled with incredible speed. Then Paul LoDuca always manages to find a hole somewhere in the defense. Then you hit the meat of the order where Beltran, Delgado and Wright get to rake. You follow that up with three crafty veterans in Moises Alou, Shawn Green and Jose Valentin.

Talk about solid. The fact that half of the people in that lineup can steal 20+ bags in a season is a huge factor as well. Then you have guys like Damon Easely and Endy Chavez coming off the bench. Just plain wicked.

I'd take the Yankees squad in a home-run derby, but for overall production give me the Mets lineup any day of the week.

While I hate the Atros, I think the addition of Carlos Lee in that line-up is going to really open up their offense for guys like Taveras and Berkman. They have a hitter's ballpark and are gonna put up a lot of runs this year.
