Or do women get a free pass depending on what he did? And if so, when do men get a free pass for slapping a woman?

So far it seems that women think it's cool to slap a guy, but uncool to be slapped back. Interesting. Most have certainly concentrated on the male slapping a woman part. As if it's taken for granted that a woman can be physically violent with a man.

Mind you, I'm a guy who got slapped once for being honest to this girl, she asked me why I wasn't into her, over, and over, so I told her. If she had hit me a second time, I would have sent her some of the same treatment.

It's not advisable. Chances are, a man's open-handed slap will leave more of a mark ... than a woman's. The power behind a man's slap, compared to a woman's slap, is HUGE. If she decides to call the police, unfortunately, more than likely ... the police will believe her, before you (unless, of course, she has a history of doing this).
Men are far stronger than women. If she slaps you, don't slap back ... that makes you just as bad as she is. Two wrongs do not make a right. Hold her down ... hell, duct-tape her to the wall, if you have to ... then call the police and have her charged with assault. A while in the "clink" should open her eyes a bit ... and make her realize that you're not going to take any kind of abuse.

I feel that if a woman is bold enough to hit that man, then she should be able to get hit back. I would never hit my wife nor any other female, but i feel that it is very unfair that women always get the free pass. Sometimes it really doesn't matter if the man hits back or not, because chances are that if she calls the cops, majority of the time they will take the womans side. So to answer the question i think women always get a free pass.

men do not get a free pass in hitting women its jsut plane wrong a man is much stronger than any women therefor could seriously hurt her, ok sure its not right that women slap men but there is no way tat a women could hurt a man to the degree a man could hurt her, its just wrong, and something you don't do

No don't hit her back, but just as in a woman's case don't put up with it. I'm a big dude 6'3 240 fit but I had a few girlfriends that thought because I was bigger they could hit on me when the got mad. I had to let them go because even though it doesn't really hurt, the tendency to "want to" hit back is always there. One day, not thinking you may find yourself doing so. Best just to just get out of that situation, because it will probably end badly.

Never slap her back. It is always wrong for a man to strike a woman. If the woman is hitting the man, then the man needs to remove himself from the situation to avoid further conflict. Come back when she has cooled down and try to talk it out. She shouldn't be allowed to get away with hitting her man, but the man should never hit her. Now, if the man is being dumb and doing things he shouldn't be doing, then maybe he deserves some kind of awakening; not sure if slapping is what he needs, but something. For instance, Captain Jack Sparrow gets slapped twice and the first time he says he is not sure if he deserved that. The second time he admits that he probably did deserve it. Note that he did not strike back.

No a guy shouldn't slap back. But women shouldn't be doing that either. It's very disrespectful. Especially if it's not even for a particular reason...other than self-defense. But basically it's not right for either sex to slap each other.

It's okay to slap your girlfriend ONLY if she is Xena, Warrior Princess. Then, you better be able to stand your ground after that!
Seriously, it shouldn't be okay for either. If the cops are called, they will almost always take the woman's side, so if you are the type of man who slaps a woman, be ready to pay the piper.

Usually, when a male gets slap is 'cuase they did something stupid. I believe that a male has no rights slapping a female. Remember that you guys are more stronger & can leave a physical mark. Just take it like a man. However, if I was a male I would never let her slap me more than once on that same occation. I would grab her hand and tell her one is enough, now lets talk like civilaze people. If not just see you later when you have calmed down.

Are you crazy? Of course you dont slap or even touch her back...
Sheesh man where is your self respect, she can use it against you so badly by spreading the word is 1. 2 is that you are considerd a weak character,so weak that you have the guts only to slap a woman back!!! Go get your stress and frustration out by at least hitting another guy or a punching bag but not by loosing your didgnity by slapping her back.
"free pass"!!! you are wining like a 4 yearold, she probably slapped u cuz u did sumtin wrong or if it is on her behalf just leave her alone and move on.
