like some of the other answers put forward i'm using one too and so do both of my kids and they love it too ! It's not the best one on sale, but how much do you want to spend ? The Ferrari Acer is probably one of the best ( its about £1700 ! ) For what you say you want it should be fine......

The answer is NO, I purchased mine July 5th, by October 5th it was practically useless as it was a combination of an inaccessible internal drive that was used to refresh computer as there was no CD back up discs. Windows downloaded 109 updates which took over 2 hours and the computer audio system did not work afterwards. It downloaded a Windows 7 start up short cut and it took an age to close it down and set up. PC World did NOT want to know and charged me £50 to refresh the computer, which I could have done for free had the machine been working. SO I paid £50 twelve weeks after I purchased it !!!
VERY BAD NEWS !!!!!!!!!

Advents are basiclly Packard Bell machine, personally I would not recommend these machines to anyone. The machines themself are fine except for a few lock-downs that somewhat annoys advanced users. This is not the main reason I advise you against buying one. My main reason for that is the after sales you will (in the loosest possible term) receive if you have any technical/non-technical issues with it after the sale will be non-existent and you'll be pulling your hair out and screeming "Why did I buy this, you guys don't even help me fix it if it goes wrong".

The best deals for laptops are on www.dell.com as they come direct from the factory and have more features on them. PC world ones are OK but try and stay away from the non Intel ones as they're not as good. PC World are for the uninformed consumer mainly.
