Oh yes,I was raised on Nancy Drew AND Hardy boys
mysteries.

I liked them. I am a guy, so I felt a bit weird reading them at first, but there were some good stories! To be honest, though I actually preferred the Nancy Drew files. I also liked the Hardy Boys...

I wanted to be Nancy Drew when I was 10 years old. I got mad because the picture of her had blond hair and my hair was brown. I read all her books and I still love her.

As a preteen I read every Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys book I could get my hands on. I moved on to other mystery writers and mysteries are still my genre of choice, though I read a bunch of other action/suspense books too.
I hope that you too, find that that's true. Reading opens so many closed doors (in the mind, and in the world)

Nancy Drew and Trixi Beldon were the only books I would read as a kid.

I did when I was young. But that was about 50 years ago.
It is interesting that they are being loved again today. I suspect they are a bit quaint now, what with the highest technology probably being a telephone or possibly a hi-fidelity record player.

I loved them from age 10-12, but I don't think I have read one since. The Hidden Staircase was my favorite. I read about 10 of them, but I think the original author wrote about 25 of them, correct?
