Women are evil and selfish. I shoudl know, I am one
I knew I would be the only one to agree with you, so lets look at some examples.
Women say they want equality, BUT:
They want sole rights over reproduction
They want special treatment in the workplace
They want to be able to expose themselves in public for the sole purpose of feeding an infant.
They want to "wear the pants" in a relationship, but still want the man to pick up the check
They expect to be given special exceptions just because they are pregnant or have children.
and so on and so on.

Women want to be recognized as equally important to society. Some women don't expect the man to be the bread winner. Lesbians need money too you know! Also, many straight women want a career because they don't want to depend on someone else for their money.
However there are plenty of educated, capable women who chose to stay home and raise a family while their husbands work. These women are equal members of the household because they are paying all the bills, monitoring investments, doing all the housework, and raising the children - everything except working for money. Remember these women dont get paid vacations and sick leave. Women are tired of doing all this work and being treated as if they are slaves to the men simply because they are not earning the income. Marriage is a partnership, not ownership.
A lot of men would benefit from being a stay at home parent for a month or two, while their wives work. Then they can see how easy it is to run a house and raise kids. ha ha

I mostly agree with you. I don't expect any man to be the bread winner. But so many women are so full of sh't about equality. They want to be treated exactly the same as a man, but then in dating turn around and say a man is a pig or whatever if he doesn't open doors for her and pull out her chair and all the gentlemanly stuff.
I believe men and women are equal as humans in intellegence and ability (depending on the subject, such as sports), and competence in the workplace, if a man and woman have the same position they should be paid the same, and all that, but that's not how MY life turned out, and I love it.
My husband is self- employed and makes ALL the money, I am a housewife and am currently eight months pregnant (also barefoot right now) and will be staying home to raise our baby until she starts school. He opens every door for me, buys me flowers and jewelry, and I clean and vacuum.
But we are of equal intelligence. I'm not inferior to him for my position, this is what worked out for us. I will return to work once our child starts school, and he will have to learn how to cook a few meals for me!

I like some of the answers some of the women answered here. Some others were way off base like they took it personally or something. This is a "general" question.......
Being a man, I've experienced some women crying the blues over not being treated equally but then a little while later these same women want you to pick up the check at dinner, or use the phrase "it's a mans place to do....". Sometimes I just give up.

We want equality regardless of how much money we earn. That's not the determining factor of respect. We should be treated edqually whether we choose to have a career or not. Chances are, if a woman doesnt work, she's at home with children doing something far more difficult than sitting at a desk all day. This position of hers is one that should be respected, exactly like the man's job that brings in money. She is creating and teaching a human being, what is more important than that?

I am a working woman, I am also a mother of 3. I think that if a woman is working than the man should have just as much baby duty as she does, but if her man is the sole "bread-winner" then that is her responsiblity!!

I don't understand.
I work 16 hours a day taking care of my home and my family but because my husband has to drive to his job and gets paid for it I should be considered as LESS of a person than he?
I don't EXPECT my husband to be the bread winner, but if he (actually WE, because it's a joint decision) didn't mind our children being raised by strangers in a daycare or by a nanny then I'd gladly rejoin the workforce.

I don't expect that men will finance my life.
My husband and I work TOGETHER to support ourselves. If I want something, I work to earn the money to but it. We give each other gifts because we love each other.
