You never send mana to the graveyard unless you discard it from your hand or if a card destroys or sacrifices one. It stays in play and if tapped doesn't untap until the beginning of your next turn. You sound like a new player, go to http://www.wizards.com/magic/playmagic/default.asp?dcmp=ILC-MTGCOMNEW and download the playable demo. It will explain the basics in detail. Also, go to http://www.wizards.com/magic/rules/MTG9EDRulebook_EN.pdf and check out the rulebook.

You always tap the number and type of mana cards required for your creature to attack. At the beginning of your next turn you un-tap your mana cards unless another card in play restricts you from doing so. You do not send mana to the graveyard unless it has been destroyed as a consequence of play. Hope this helps.

ummmk.what the fizzle does "magic the reasoning" mean?is it a slang term?and if its MtG,you gont send "Mana" to the graveyard.creatures attack you play stuff, and THOSE CARDS go to the graveyard.mana is an imaginary token, like "+1/+1 unitll EoT"it is not in play, and does not go to the graveyard.it is spent,or you take mana burn.it is then "removed from the game" like tokens when they die.

Just tap, why'd you think destroy? The game would be terrible doing that but that could be a good card effect.

You tap them by turning them sideways and they cannot be untapped until the beginning of your next turn.
