Oh dear. This is something that I do believe many, if not everybody has seen on television at one given time or the other. As from the commercial, if your erection doesn't subside after four hours, then you might want to seek medical attention at once. Plus, beyond the commerical factor, indeed, you'll want to seek medical attention because the blood that pumps through this muscle is constantly pumping through, while other times in varying people, it may completely stop. Either way, it could cause either a delayed flow effect to the proper areas of the organ or it could be having too much blood distributed throughout, wherefore it would need to be sent to other parts of the body that aren't receiving the proper blood flow.

Having an erection for more than 4 hours was what I believe to be one of the side effects from VIAGRA. I just saw it on the commercial last night. The host, announcer or whatever he is said to call your doctor immediately if your erection last longer than 4 hours. I think you're experiencing that.

A persistent erection is called priapism. It can be serious because you may have an underlying disease like a chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Check with your doctor dude.
Now if it persists due to Viagra intake, it must be a side effect of the drug. Enjoy it while it lasts!
