She won't have any idea what's going on. What do you get for a 1 month old baby girl?

I don't think she will care much. What about a silver baby cup with her name and birthdate engraved on it?

At this age she can't play with any toys but in a month or two she will. How about some nice board books: The Big Red Barn, Good NIght Moon, Guess HOw much I love you, these are great baby books.
Also Baby Einstein Baby videos are good.
Mucial stuffed animals, the kind you can crank up and it plays a bed time lullaby. ( Target has some cute ones in the carter's baby section)

You could get her some toys for very young babies. One popular item is a set of baby toys and cards that are red, black, and white. I can't remember the brand. Check with Babies R Us, or I think Wal-mart carries them too. They are supposed to be stimulating and help the brain develop. The other thing that is nice for baby and parents is a cd of soft music (instrumental) for the baby's room. I have a son who was born the beginning of December and he liked the soft, soothing music. The other thing, might be a texture play mat for children (usually a little older (like 4 months) that they lay on. I used a sheep skin (artifical) for my kids to play on. They would rub their fingers in it.
Good Luck, and Merry Christmas.

What about something for her future? Like some type of savings/savings bond thing? You could get her a couple of toys/clothes in addition to that. There are some really amazing children's gifts online.. I think you should just go to a search engine and search, and you'll find tons of things. Good luck! :o)

Perhaps, it would be better to present something to the mother, which will eventually be useful for the baby.

How about a bright stuffed animal. Babies see bright colors and follow them with her eyes. It's really cute.
