I switched to using a laptop from a desktop, but I was wondering if it was possible to use my old desktop HDD as an external drive for my laptop and how I might go about configuring it.
Thanks

The only way you can do this is to make your old HDD an external USB drive. Buy a USB HDD case and you'll be set to go in no time.

They make USB enclosures, which are metal cases that you put the desktop hard drive into, and then it has a USB cable that connects to the laptop. It is exactly the same as a USB hard drive, only the drive is not included. (If you open a USB hard drive, you will find a standard desktop hard drive inside it)
