Most definitely not.

If you quit cold-turkey, the nicotine and its addictive chemicals should have been entirely out of your system within 48 hours.

The shaking is unrelated to the smoking or lack thereof...Please see a doctor!

GOOD FOR YOU!

The shaking is not anything to worry about. It's a psychosomatic response to your mind's withdrawal, not your body's from the nicotine.

After the first 72 hours, the nicotine is out of your system, but the habit/ritual is ingrained in your mind for awhile, depending on how long you smoked!

GOOD FOR YOU though! I'm going to do it for New Years this year (again), and my mind is already causing me to shake, and I haven't even given them up yet!

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! It is so worth it! If you are young enough, in time, you can completely eradicate ALL of the damage smoking has done to your entire body!

Does this shaking occur in the car?
If so get your timing checked....

I have quit smoking many times for months at a time and don't remember ever experiencing unexplained shaking before.

It's the quitting drinking that is making you shake.

Actually, I've quit several times and never had the shakes. You should get it checked out. Might be a symptom of something else.

If you were a chain smoker it is normal. You are having withdrawal symptoms. If its unbearable you can have a doctor prescribe some sedatives, to help with the symptoms or you can ride it out. Good luck.

Yes, it is a normal symptom of withdrawal from nicotene and the other insidious ingredients in cigarettes. Congratulations! Tell your doctor, and you may get some help for the withdrawal symptoms. Your doctor will feel proud!
