At their core many politicians are driven by their own greed and need for power. You cannot classify one party as evil or stupid. America is hung up on party affiliation. There is an old joke from the cold war.

A reporter asked a Frenchman about his dreams for his countrys future. He replied "I hope my country is known for creating great artists." He asked an Englishman about his dreams. "I hope my country is known for great writers." He asked a Russian about dreams for his country. He replied; "I hope my neighbors cow dies."

The point of the joke is that Russia was a country that had been turned in on itself by its own government in an attempt to maintain control. That is the same thing happening here. Political parties are drawing lines and segregating beliefs to a point where nothing is getting done. We are building a massive beuracracy that is totally ineffective. Just ask the people still waiting for the government to help them after Katrina.

Depends on who you would ask. If you ask the detainees at Guantanamo, they would say the Democrats are more humane. If you could ask the unborn, they would say Republicans.

Democrats are more humane. So much so that we have pedophiles and rapists back on the streets AFTER they have been convicted. Democrats protect the criminals, NOT the innocent.
