Y do blacks think we should pay em for there forefathers work?

We didnt enslave em and they werent the ones who were slaves.....

THe only reason it was ever brought up was because of blacks people. U think some white dude thought hey, i think we should all pay for there work 100 years ago. pffff some good answers though. and no i aint racist at all

Because they can use it as a crutch for not getting an education or getting a job. I still do not understand why everyone who is not black(or a minority) has to be denied a job or a scholarship because they are not black. Do a search on scholarships and when it asks for race, see how many more are offered to minorities than to whites.

I think one look at any of the 3 major sports and the contracts that the players are gettin(and yes blacks DOMINATE all three, basketball, football, and baseball) I think we as a society have paid back the blacks 10 fold.

If you quit your endless pursuit for a free ride because of your skin color, maybe things will change.

Why should the people here get punished for something they didn´t do.

The same goes for the Germans, why should they pay millions of Euros every year to Isreal, so Isreal can slaughter palastinians.. Most German taxpayers of today weren´t arround when the hollocaust happened.

I saw this whole thing on PBS and slavery wasn't really what it has been portrayed to be.
I dont have an answer to your question though, I often wonder the same thing.
I dont think I should pay for anything anyone in my family has ever done, if my grandpa got a DUI should I not be allowed to drive? Or if he stole something should I have to go to jail? It's really weird to think about.
If it weren't for that time, America would not be what it is today and EVERYONE gets to enjoy the benefits from their efforts.

its just compensation for the terrible things that were done in the past. many people are still racist out there too. that also comes from the way african americans were treated in the slave days. the government need to pay for their mistakes i'm sorry that you pay taxes and in turn are paying for that as well.

We feel that we should get paid because, our ancesters were enslaved and worked hard from morning to night and they were treated like cattle. They were not getting paid or had little pay for working for the white man, so the children want some kind of compensation for the time and work our gandparents put in. You may not have enslaved us but your grandparents did. How would you like it if the blacks came and took you from your home to make you do backbreaking work for the whites and for little or no money. How would you like if the blacks called your people cattle and treated them as such. How would you feel if the blacks beat, oiled and feathered you in the streets, called your women ugly but turned around and raped them, dug up your earth and took control of your home. The White British right now is treating blacks in Africa like slaves in their own country. Yes, black leaders in Africa sold us to the Whites--but we shouldn't have to pay for their stupity. We as a black race has come a long way. Dollars and cents won't replace the pain and suffering we as race has been through, but it would be an acknowledgement saying that it was wrong of them for treating us so coldly. I myself, can give you some more information that are facts about the black race. Just because our skin is darker, it doesn't mean that we are inferior. My people are beautiful because we are the only race that come in all kinds of different shades of color: from white, yellow, light brown, medium brown, dark brown, black, and coal black. Our hair are not all afros. Both of my parents are black but we have good hair because of the Native America in our blood. Afro hair is beautiful, we can wear our hair in all kinds of different stlyes, that white can't wear or they'll look silly wearing. There seems to be jealousy in there. Native Americans have been mistreated too, their skin once was a deep and beautiful brownish red color. White men came and raped them, making their skin ligheter. They were kicked off their land and wasn't allowed back into their own home. They are stuck on reservations. How would you like to be stuck on reservations. Personally, any white person that has Native American blood in them, have either traitor blood in them or blood that wasn't given voluntarily. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't hate white people. What good would that do me. But, don't tell me to forget about what you did to my grandparents for centuries, all because you don't want to hear what you did to another human being was downright wrong. If that's the case, you forget about your race and grandparents history. Blacks and Women are the meek.. and the meek will rise. We are inferior because you think we are.. but we have been the supior ones all the time.
