The medical word for passing gas is flatulence.
The funniest terms I've heard used to express passing gas were:

rump roar
butt burps
fanny fuel
fanny fluff
Then you have the classic:
fart
toot
break wind
cutting the cheese

I ve only had surgical treatment for diverticulitis which had crated a fistula from the bowel to the bladder and replaced into i replaced into passing wind even as urinating approx 3-4 years in the past and had on going UTI s i'm a male and non diabetic

to my toddlers it is poot. For us adults...we don't call it nothing, we just point to the dog. He gets blamed for everything.
