I just got a new '06 this year. After deliberating using research from several periodicals and on-line resources, I decided on the Honda Civic.
I got ready to buy one and they didn't have the model that I had set my heart on. So, I went with my second pick (I had test driven 6 picks based upon the reading research), which is the Mazda 3 Sportwagon.
I love it. I cannot imagine that I would have been happier with the Civic. The only advantage (06's) the Honda "still" has is the iPod-ready hook-up. I had to get a Roadtrip to play my tunes through the system. The 07 model of my car has its own connection for mp3 players.

Honda's are great cars nowadays. However, recently I test drove an '07 Buick LaCrosse. I was impressed that the gas milage was almost as good as the Honda Accord. The ride was very smooth. The leg room and head room were very accomidating front AND back (I'm 6'00" with long legs). The stereo was awesome. The blind spots were VERY limited. It was fun to drive. And the best part is the 100k mile warranty. I'm seriously considering it for my next car.
(By the way, this is coming from someone who normally doesn't care for GM cars)

I like the Honda Civic Hybrid, the Toyota Prius Hybrid, the Toyota Scion and the Honda Fit. I'm all into the whole environment issue and cost of gas .... but overall, I really want a Mini Cooper just for style.

Whats maximum extreme approximately finding out to purchase a automobile with something over 50,000 miles is a sturdy warrenty which will conceal the automobile for a minimum of the quantity of time you intend on retaining it for.

As far as reliability, looks, money, I'd go with the Honda Accord. My daughter has had two and that will be my next car.

Hondas are hard to beat. I own a Honda Pilot and am very happy with it.
As far as what's best. It really boils down to what you want to use it for, how long you plan to keep it, and what you are willing to spend.

Honda's are great, but Toyota's also rank very high. Me and my family have always owned Toyotas and we have never had any problems besides the normal stuff. They're very reliable and safe cars.
