should we outlaw selling door-to-door?

i say yes. i remember a few years ago, i was being called by the same telemarketers EVERY SINGLE DAY. then the government released the "do not call list." it was simple and brilliant. you go to a website (for free!) and put in your phone number. that made it ILLEGAL for any telemarketer to call you (they get fined). since i did that, i received only one telemarketing call (i reported them, and didn't hear from them again).

however, i consider selling things door to door even more pervasive and terrible. you can always not answer the phone or just hang up. but if you come to my door, i don't know who you are before answering. it could be something important! for all i know, you just got shot and need to call 911. or you could be my neighbor needing to tell me something.

but no... i answer and it's someone trying to sell (scam) a magazine subscription. this happens all the time and i'm sick of it!!!! i think this is harassment and should be illegal.

this is it for me, i'm not going to answer my door anymore. oh well

Yes bcoz it is dangerous now. People are mean
