They will go on for hours with their protests, gay rights rallies, and freedoms there. But when they disagree with something that is said they will try to censor it.

Why do they seem to support freedom of speech ONLY as long as they agree?

Clarification for confused liberals :

For example, when a question (such as this one) seems to offend liberals. They will remove it (therefore censoring my comments). Why?

because liberals are scared to death of the public seeing them for the phonies they are.

when someone says something that exposes liberalism for the fraud it is, they try to talk over them in hopes that their voice won't be heard or they will call them names and try to dig up their personal history in hopes of people not taking them seriously.

Freedom of speech incorporates no longer only the right to assert some thing that somebody else disagrees with, although the right of the disagreeing human being to reply. Do you fairly no longer do not ignore that?

Far more than censor. Turn on any news program where there's a conservative and a liberal speaking. First the liberal speaks and then, when the conservative tries to reply the liberal immediately starts talking over them. It's a trait of the breed like Walker Foxhounds have one brown eye and one blue eye. Liberals can't help themselves.

Only stupid people censor stuff...And they come in all varieties of political leanings.

Look, for example, at the fact that we don't get to see (and therefore honor) our fallen soldiers in their caskets coming home from Iraq. That's censorship, and it came from a bunch of conservative Republicans.

To address your additional comments/example. For one, this question probably won't be removed. For another thing, this site is privately owned, therefore freedom of speech does not necessarily apply...Yahoo has established rules clarifying what you can and cannot post, and that's all that counts here.

Excellent question!!

Even those staunch defenders of free speech, the ACLU, tried to stifle their own board members from speaking out against policies they don't agree with.

Look how INVITED Conservative speakers are shouted down and, quite often, assaulted on colleges around the country.

Hypocrisy, anyone?

Oh, my, a question of yours got removed!

Had to be those liberals disagreeing with you, now doesn't it?

Listen, one of my straight forward answers to a straight forward question about computers was removed, and another answer to a question about history was complained of and removed.

There are jerks in every band of the political spectrum. And besides that, maybe your question was removed because it did in fact violate the TOS.

Umm.... give us an example please. It has been my experience that social conservatives do this quite a lot. For example, the fact that the FCC is completely controlling what is being said and how it is being said on TV and Radio. FCC is run by a social conservative.

Now where's your example/point?

You still haven't given a valid point. I am trying to answer your question and you aren't giving me any examples to go off. Yet there are many examples from answerers that show when social conservatives have failed to protect free speech.

If you remember it was the conservatives that created the "free speech zones" in order to eliminate the freedom of speech anywhere else they felt "appropriate".

According to the first amendment the entire nation is a free speech zone.

The ACLU has defended Nazis and Ollie North.

Maybe you should learn about a subject before opening it.

Give an example. And then I'll provide an example of a conservative doing the same. Then it will be your turn, then mine.

I bet you run out of examples way before I do.
