Yes probably due to a mistaken belief that my vote actually counts.

Yes. And often I wonder why, since I always seem to be voting against people. I guess because the lesser of 2 evils is better than the worst. And if 500 more like minded people had voted in FL in 2000, we would have be griping about another bunch of officeholders & issues than we are now.

Since I turned 18, I have voted in every Canadian federal, Alberta provincial, and Calgary civic election that I could, save one - the 1993 federal election, which was both called and held while I was finishing my college in Phoenix. I tried to get a ballot mailed to me, but the red tape and time involved meant I missed the vote deadline.

I've voted in every election local and national since I was given the right to vote at 18 [I'm 48 now].
It is my right and my responsiblity as an american to vote. I feel if I didn't vote I wouldn't have the right to complain about about what our government is doing.

In every election - national, state, local. I vote because I have a voice, and a choice. Then I have the right to complain about the officials I elected. It's my right and privilege as an American.

I vote in EVERY election - that's twice per year. This year was the highly publicized mid-term elections of Representatives and Senators. It also included State elections in Illinois.
In 2007 I will vote in the primary in February for municipal candidates and again in April for municipal, park, library, fire and school district candidates.
In March 2008 I will vote in the primary for Federal, State and County candidates. And again in November for the general election of those same candidates.
In February 2009 I will vote in the primary and/or caucus for Township and municipal candidates and again in April for the election of Township, Municipal, Park District, Library District, School District and Fire District officials
And on and on every year. I have not missed a single election since I turned 18 years old more than 15 years ago. When I was in college, I voted by absentee, when I was travelling for business I voted early or absentee. It is the GREATEST freedom we have and I will never take it for granted.

Yes, many people fought for the right to vote and the least I can to do to show my respect is to participate in the voting process.

Always. So many people have given up their lives so that we may vote - we owe them a huge debt of gratitude.
I also believe that if you don't vote, you have no right to complain. And for God's sake - PLEASE don't vote ignorantly! Voting comes with responsibility and if you're going to vote for someone just because you recognize their name, STAY HOME!!

Every single time an election occurs. You shouldn't complain about the system if you don't try to effect the system.
