Who would you say is the better person?

Who would you say is more sophisticated between Jimmy and Kelly?

For example Kelly works at a public relations company and she owns a condo overlooking a huge lake and she lives in a big city, Kelly also owns a really nice car (a 2005 Acura TL) and she does alot of traveling with her job and she owns alot of nice clothes and has a ton of high class friends, plus Kelly can be a bit on the snobby and stuck up side.

Jimmy on the other hand is a small town boy who works at a department store and he still lives with his parents and Jimmy owns a 1977 Buick LeSabre, Jimmy is a hard working reliable employee who lives his life on a day by day basis and he is one of the most easygoing guys who you can get along with who is a bit on the carefree side, Jimmy likes good classic rock music and he is a big fan of automobiles and trains?

Both Jimmy and Kelly are in their mid 20s

I personally think that Jimmy is the better of the two.

I think they both have good points and bad points . Kelly knows what she wanted and went after it , but seems she is missing a human side , Jimmy has the sorta laid back day by day good going guy , I dont think you can measure these people as non sophisticated , they both have this .You dont have to be a King or Queen to be sophisticated .

Just because Kelly worked hard to get a degree to be in Public Relations (a Bachelor's is needed), doesn't mean she is less of a person. It takes hard work to get nice things and no one should be knocked down for owning them and living a nice lifestyle. She could have had a hard life and now gets to enjoy it. Or not but who's to say she doesn't deserve it? Just because Jimmy wants to do nothing and live at home and is happy with simple and easy doesn't make him better. Carefree could be mistaken for lazy to some. Success can be the opposite. To maintain success takes constant work. Jimmy needs to stop being jealous and if he is truly happy wouldn't care about how Kelly lives. So what Jimmy likes good classic rock, maybe Kelly does too. This little hypethedical situation does NOT make a good point. Jealousy is an ugly characteristic on a person...

I would say that Jimmy is the better person only because he sounds like he is a down to earth person and Kelly sounds like she judges people buy the way they would dress and what they drive.

How can anyone in good conscience judge two people based on two or three sentences about what they do and own. People are more than their jobs and what they own or drive. People are a compilation of values, of considerations, of coping skills, of charity. People are their emotions and how they deal with others. People are who they are based on their ACTIONS.
It would take several volumes of books on each before I would even feel comfortable to say which I'd like to have as a friend, much less jugde them as human beings.

I'd pick Jimmy. He would probably give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Kelly however, would turn her nose up because the shirt wasn't expensive enough. She wouldn't do anything for anyone, except herself of course.

you can make two people sound two different ways. obviously you like jimmy better. i'm sure kelly has good qualities too. so by not knowing them personally, i couldn't tell.

I think I missed some thing really important here but I have read it 4 times already and still feel either the asker is confused about what sofisticated means or I have been lied to.
