Apparently, something like 75% of the population is under the age of 30 and appear to like the culture of Western societies. They do not approve of their Islamic Fundamentalist leaders.
Sort of like the saying "children are our future", hopefully they will find a way to get rid of ahmadinejad and his cronies. It would be difficult since the fundamentalists are in control of the military and a huge arsenal of weapons.

One of the oldest cultures on Earth. Nothing we do or say will change that.

They would make a better friend than enemy. When the Shaw ruled with a pro oil pro US platform the Religious right was able to rally the people to a religious take over. Ostracizing America and causing the separation that exists to this day.

Think about that.

A beautiful country, a very dangerous leader. If we hadn't gone into Iraq underneath a pile of lies and manipulated intelligence, we would be better equipped to deal with their government right now, from a position of strength. As it stands now, we are stretched thin and Ahmadinejad knows it. That makes him even more dangerous and bold than he might have been otherwise.

I think that this time we need to make sure decisions are actually based on real facts, instead of assumptions. Sadly, the one nation that was able to keep Iran in check, has been destroyed by us.....good job George!

Do you mean the country or the people?
The country is beautiful.
The people I won't generalize about. Just like anywhere else in the world there are crooks and there are splendid people. There are people who are easily misled and there are intelligent people.
I'm worried about about the dictatorial features of the spiritual leaders. It reminds me of pronouncements by Christian leaders until some 100 years ago, and - speaking of the USA - even nowadays.

I believe that Mr. Ahmadinejad is a loose cannon on the world stage and the international community should be very concerned about him.

The people themselves are probably average compared to other people. Their leaders are insane, to the max.
