I wonder how many adults (X) and how many children (Y) attended?
I wonder how much adults paid for tickets (lets say 2, just guessing) and how much childre's tickets cost? (lets say 1, just guessing)

X + Y = 840
2X + 1Y = 11640

X = 840 - Y
2(840 -y) + 1Y = 11640
1680 - 2Y + 1Y = 11640
1680 -Y = 11640
Y = 11640 - 1680
