as for the few thousand years thoughts.. if patterns persist the exact way they have for the past 10 years (granted things can change, this is an IF they do) then in 40 years the south pole will have ice free summers.. that means no ice on the ground by the end of summer... this is from Science Daily ... but I digress... where I live will probably be ocean front after that happens.. so I'll just get a boost to my land value :P

The levels will go up gradually over a 20 year period .Low level inland coastal ways will be the first to feel the loss of land .Survey markers will be under water at high tide and coastal water ways and bays will notice docks and other structures going under during tidal changes .Miami ,Jacksonville ,Tampa , Canaveral , ports will all see this gradual change .The problem is will the people be able to relocate an entire city and the supporting infrastructure in that time frame .Will we give in or begin constructing sea walls . And what disaster will fallow when a sea wall gives way .10,000 square miles flooded and a real catastrophe or maybe just accepting the changes and relocating to higher ground over 15 years or so .Traveling done A1A you can begin to see how the ocean has already been moving steadily to erode Florida off the map . Some of the Island in the keys and southern Florida area Islands have already been lost .These where small low lying Islands to begin with but now they are under water all the time Not just during higher tides . I was practically born in the water but would not want to swim everywhere ..Who is going to begin to relocate New York City .

Man wouldn't that be funny, all the trash in the cities close to rivers and the ocean would be washed away. Like a clean new beginning for the rest of humanity. I say bring the global warming on, lets blame it on the Republicans, and say it is a conspiracy to make the dinosaurs come back so they can take away social security from the old people and give it to super intelligent dinosaurs. If it goes bad, we can blame it on Teddy Kennedy and say it was a flash back from his night at Chappaquittick.

there is likewise the prospect that the ensuing improve in temperatures will create huge soften water discharge from the ice caps and could reason a special-down of the thermohaline contemporary, that's the deep underwater currents that flow warmth around the oceans. this would reason speedy cooling contained in the North Hemisphere, which might advise an incredibly drop in sea-point as ocean water is locked up in transforming into ice sheets. of direction that's all speculative and there is plenty debate on the situation, given the numerous variables to account for. Its a super subject count of debate and that i'd desire to pass on all day!

That or learn not to rebuild below sea or flood level, and be surprised when it happens again. Or expect my tax dollars to pay for it.

No, I will build an ark, and travel the globe. When the flood dies I will be the only man left, and it will be my duty to repopulate the earth.
Personally, I can't wait.
