Most of all enjoy every minute with him....he will grow up so fast that you won't believe it. Baby won't let you put him down once in a while? Then sit and hold him while he sleeps and enjoy it. One day he'll be too big to hold and you'll miss it. Congratulations and good luck!

I've got a newborn baby boy too! Mine was born on 30 November!
And I'm a first time mum as well!
Best advice I can give is to take each day as it comes, try not to expect too much of yourself, accept any help that is offered and always ask your doctor or midwife is you are worried or unsure about anything.
Its really scary being a mum for the first time and made even harder when you can't sleep and are really tired. But when I look at my little man I know its all worth it!! He is so incredibly beautiful!

I have a newborn baby boy asweel hes 7 weeks.
The best advice that I can give you is cover that pee pee of his while your changing him with like a wipe or something.
Put him in comfy pants and a top at bedtime. It makes it easier for the diaper changes at 2:00am. Vs the one piece suites that you button. (Those things are such a pain in the neck)
Nap when you can.
Hope I gave you the right kinda advice you were looking for!

Um, yea, careful when you change him, they can't aim very well, and I guarantee he will pee on you! Especially when you put him in the bath! (all three of my boys did) and be sure to keep his "thing" clean! They (boys) can get it infected very easy. dress him warm while he sleeps so he won't need cover (as they can smother him) rest when he does, Don't be one of those moms that wait until the baby is 4-5 months old before you feed him any solids, use lots of lotion, and be sure to always keep socks on his feet! (Except in the summer unless it's chilly) OH, yea and love him with all your heart whether he's good or bad!!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!

My advise is enjoy every moment as they soon grow to be little monsters!! Drawing all over your wall and furniture with a sharpie and make a total mess, throwing a drink and animal crackers over and in the VCR. But, it is the best thing in the world being a mom!
Enjoy!

Always pick him up when he cries, ALWAYS have the new diaper unfolded and ready to go before you take off the dirty one (use it as a shield!). As he gets older do not listen to people about if you are "babying" him or not. One large reason boys communiate less is because when they get hurt we always brush it off as "boys are boys" instead of talking to them about their feelings about being hurt and that its ok to be mad, but not ok to hit-
Boys are harder than girls, but mine is a bigger love bug than my daughter.

Be ready to cover his wee wee as soon as you take the diaper off or he'll pee across the room like a fountain!
