Its been my experience that either sex can be responsible or equally responsible. Each situation dictates. All I can say with certainity is that when the sh*t hits the fan the cops are called and both parties want the police to solve the problem in minutes when the couple took years to reach this stage.

Thanks.....nothing I like more than mediating marriage problems because there are more than the share of idiots out there who can't solve problems they create on their own.

Losers...nothing but sorry a** losers.

It's not a question of blame. Both sexes incurr into it.
Nevertheless, the man being by nature stronger (physically at least) than the woman, it is much more frequent that men, especially immature ones, use violence (psychological, verbal and physical) to subjugate their companions in a relationship.

It is always the abusers fault for being abusive because they choose not to control their anger. But if the abused sticks around it is their fault they stay in an abusive situation. Statistically speaking only a small percentage of abusers are women. BUt then take into account how much more embarrassing it is for an abused husband to report his wife beating him up. Wives are subject to disbelief when they try to report domestic abuse and I can only imagine an abused husband would be even more so.

women normally are the verbal and men are normally the physical, but to say who starts it is hard because you don't know what could have started. if one person wrongs another just to get a reaction.or if they now there choices are going to anger there partner, and just don't care then i will put the blame on there partner. (the one who puts up with it until they burst) only you can decide your happiness

The abuser.Other than self defense there is never a reason to hit another person.A real man would walk away before hitting a woman. And A true woman whom is dignified and respectful would walk out before lowering herself to such a despicable act.

Its not a gender thing you stupid @ss! Every situation is different.
And I'd have to say the person who couldn't control their temper is to blame, whether it be the man or the woman. Any sane person knows you WALK AWAY before you go over the edge.
