See another Dr., this will help your ear and your mind. Ask him to clean the wax out. Or is your mom near? mine used a warm oil to melt the built up wax in my ears..felt weird..the warm oil going in, and the melted wax coming out. Your Dr. probably left an associate to take his calls while he was away, contact his office again, the 27th is too long to wait..you need peace of mind.

Find a place (usually massage therapists or health centers) that does ear coning. It is a non-invasive way to eliminate wax buildup from your ears. You lay on one side and the therapist puts a cone-shaped device in your ear (it doesn't go really far in and it is not painful). Then they light a candle at the end of the cone (they hold it the entire time). All you feel is the warmth from the candle and it feels good. The heat from the candle draws out all the wax and whatever else is in your ears. I had it done and it was great!

well if your ears are blocked (air) you could chew gum, or hold your nose and drink a glass of water, but because it's due to wax, you will need your ear drain, which that doesn't hurt at all. you can buy a ear syrich at the pharmacy and just feel the syrich with warm water and squirk the water into your ear, just make sure your head it;s tilt to the side so that the water come out, or another thing you can do is go and see ENT doctor, and he could do the procedure.

I'm guessing it might be perforated. When the pressure changed the ear drum physically. They give you nasal decongestants and advise that you chew gum. When a doctor prescribes antibiotics, ALWAYS take the full prescriptions. Don't take it only until you feel better. The bacteria will still be there and will become immune to the antibiotic. Then you will have a resistant form of bacteria. That's how the resistant forms of tuberculosis formed.

My brother had a similar problem and the Dr. irrigated his ears with really warm water, as hot as he could stand it. That may be an option for you! Just be careful. You might find some wax removal kit or drops in the pharmacy at you local drug store. Good Luck!

I'm a nurse. You should go see the other doctor. Don't suffer with this after all you deserve to get your care when needed. It's always nice to get another opinion. Take care of you

i notice that sometimes in the winter months i guess from the wind that my ears get sore and sort of close up. they have this OTC stuff that is made by similisan(or a name similar) that you put in your ear and leave it in there. it is supposed to clean out the ear wax and also relieves pain. you can try that until you can get back to your doc

See another docter to take the earwax out or put a cloth with hot water absorbed inside it.
