Well, i am trying to get a honda but i am conserned about getting a used car because i don't want it to break down on me, so i am thinking of financing it so that I won't have to worry about that. i just dont want to pay a lot of money that is really needed because for one thing. i ain't rich. so i am thinking that i should just save my money to save me from having to pay car notes.

I decided to just purchase a cheap car for a cheap price with like hopefully a reasonable amount of mileage on it. Considering that honda and toyota are long lasting cars. i am going to get either or.

if you drive 1miles a day and follow proper maintenance, any. If you drive more than that or don't follow maintenance, none.

Quality is catching up across the board, although some manufacturers are lagging, and some that were ahead are falling behind.

It isn't necessarily that the more expensive cars last longer, because I've found it quite the opposite. There is a reason that a $130K mercedes is worth 1/5 of that 3 years later. I bought a used E55 benz that was just over 1 year old when I purchased it. It is now just over 2 and I have already had it back to the dealer 6 times. My wife's G35 is just as old, but has twice the mileage and has NEVER needed anything but service, just as my Subaru WRX STi has never needed anything but service and I'm running about 200% stock power.

It depends somewhat on the manufacturer, but more how you take care of the car, but no car will last a lifetime if used as a car.

A car in Baghdad, loaded explosives, driven by a terrorist, will last for the driver's lifetime, guaranteed.

It all depends on care and maintence of your car. The better you care for it, the longer it will last.
