I probably look about what a 7 month pregnant woman would look like but I'm a little over 37 wks!! I've gained 38pnds, though, I really don't know where that's gone because I've worn the same pants (small maternity pants) the whole pregnancy. He moves a TON and feels really strong, it's just that I don't want him to be really small and sickly, because I've read smaller babies have a harder time with illness and all that stuff. Anyone else have a small belly and normal size baby????Thanks!!

I've had NO problems with the pregnancy and the doctor always does a REALLY quick exam and then says "you're doing great" and that's it??!!

I was pretty small, and even measured small for dates but had a healthy 6lb 11oz baby.

i do. I'm experiencing the same problem. I am 33 weeks and I look like I'm only 5-6 months if that. I had my baby shower a couple of weeks ago and everyone said I looked like I was 3 months pregnant still. I've gained 24 pounds and I still need to gain about 6-10 more, but my midwife says the same thing to m everytime. "you're doing great! You're just where you wanna be" and then leaves. All of my weight, my fiance has pointed out, is in my hips/*** and breasts, so maybe your weight is being distributed in other areas of your body like mine, and that's as big as your belly is going to get.

It could also be because of your height. I am 5'7 and my doctor told me that women over 5'5 and grew up slender, usually don't get as big as those who are shorter and not as active growing up. So if you played sports, or dance, or workout, that could also explain it. if you were small before you got pregnant, you won't be expected to get huge while you're pregnant. as long as your doctor says the babys not underweight or undersized at your ultrasounds you should be fine.

I didn't look that pregnant, and I gained about 34 pounds. My daughter was 8 pounds, 9 ounces! Today's sonograms are pretty accurate in predicting size, but I don't know if you've had one recently. I don't think your size really tells you that much. My sister-in-law (gave birth three days after me) gained as much weight as I did, looked A LOT more pregnant, and her daughter was less than 4 pounds and only 3 weeks early! I'm sure your doc has told you the babies usually gain about a half pound a week at this point, so even if my niece hadn't been born until 40 weeks, she still would have only been about 5 pounds. If he's moving a lot, then he's probably fine. But I'm no doc, as yours.

No no no don't be worried at all that's wonderful news ur only suppose to gain 15 pounds ur perfect how much u wanna bet that once u have that babyvu won't have anytime losing the weight. By ur 6 week check up u will be back to normal ppl eat for two and they gain so much weight it looks like baby weight but its not and its so hard to get rid of.also everyone's body is different u could blow up in next two months and u wont feel sexy with ur big bump when u can't sleep or see your feet or when u bloat ur face gets huge lol. Trust me I gained like 50 pounds when I was pregnant and I'm still working it off ya the belly was cute but not after birth lol. Congrats

well when i went into labor everyone kept telling me i didnt look like i was 9 months pregnant yet. (that was the first pregnancy) and now im in my second one and im 6 months and i look like im almost 8. my first daughter was born 8 lbs 10 ounces (pretty big) and shes always a clothes size up than her age. shes 3 now and her clothes size is 4t because the pants and sleeves are too short (shes tall) and at my ultrasound (20 weeks) this time around, the doctor said the baby looked to be a 16 ounces and the normal weight would be about 13-14 (according to doctor) so im betting this baby will be big too. (i think its just my genes)

Chances are you're all baby! they say the average woman gains 25-30lbs during pregnancy, well is suppose to. Any more than that is exess body weight added on the mommy. Your baby will more than likely be as healthy as ever and weigh 8lbs or so. Congrats and goodluck

I've only gained about 18 pounds and I'm 36 weeks, my doc said that I'm all baby and she's measuring right on track.

when i was pregnant with my daughter a coworker also was pregnant and i was twice her size and our babies were only one ounce diff in weight my daughter was 8.5 and her daughter 8.4. so not all women carry their babies the same. just cause your small dont mean anything, as long as the baby is healthy, good luck!!!
