Funny of course, you can watch them anytime during the day and with anyone you want. Funny movies dont require a mood where as you need to be in the mood for a scary movie to watch one.

I used to love a good scary movie now it's depressing because there really are crazy people in the world who copy the movie and kill you or someone close to you, so now I go for funny.

I kind of enjoy scary movies in a masochistic way while I'm watching but they leave such a lasting impression on me that I stay scared for months.
I'm still scarred by seeing The Exorcist (original one from the 80s) and can't take hearing a demonic voice on tv. I'm 34 and have to cover my ears, hum, and close my eyes if any scary commercials come on. Sad, eh?
