I am bi too, you have NOTHING to be ashamed of. I get crap all the time from people... it's all just ignorance.
If I tell a straight guy I'm bi, everyday he will bring threesomes up to me.
If I tell a straight girl I'm bi, everytime I touch her she'll think i'm hitting on her.
If I tell gays/lesbians I'm bi, I'm all of a sudden not queer enough to hang out with anymore.
Then you have people who think that all bis are confused, or promiscuous, bored, greedy, ect.
I am bi not because I chose to be but because I am. There's nothing wrong with being attracted to both sexes. I didn't jump on any "bi bandwagon" and I am a faithful girlfriend. Everyone has the right to be happy, I don't discriminate against gender when love is at my door.

I don't know if proper is the right word, but it is not unusual or even abnormal. Some people prefer people of the opposite gender, others of the same gender and still others prefer both. Often one more over the other, but sometimes fairly equally.
As to proper, society is getting better and some societies or even areas of the US more tolerant than others. But society still struggles with gay and bi relationships. However, you are what you are and must be to be happy.
Iam mostly hetero, but have found myself attracted to some people of the same sex. I don't think anyone is really 100% straight.
Is it Okay? Yes it is.

Look within yourself, then see if that's what your sexuality really is, if yes, then live it! As for proper? There are too many standards that can decide for or against this, but they should not be your concern.

I don't think there is nothing wrong with being bi - as long as you stick to one person (at a time)! While its quite common nowadays, just remember its not accepted in all cultures.

Why wouldn't it be ok? Who you love is not for other people to judge. If you feel "ok" doing it then go ahead. Do not let people label you and don't let someone tell you what is right and wrong. If you are happy and not harming others, then that's what matters!

Don't worry about what other people think. They are not the ones who make you happy. Some people will always try to tell you how to live your life, but you just do what's right for YOU.

i am too. more bi-curious though. i'm attracted to women but in a different way than men. sometimes i feel like this is derogatory to people who are gay/lesbian... not curious just flat out gay or lesbian, because it's really not the same at all.

Why wouldn't it be "okay"?
Do what you like, dear - do what makes you happy and what feels right to you - don't listen to others or society's stereotypes.
Remember the wise words of Dr. Suess, "Those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter."

how could it be wrong to be who you are?
yeah, we're a minority and have a lot of sterotypes, but so do other smaller groups.
if anyone rags on you fro being who you are, forget about them-they're not worth the air they breath
