If you are hurt, and have no other way of proving it, would you be able to obtain a copy of that stores video as a proof of evidence. Will you have to go through the courts, or will you be able to view it on your own without legal litagations.

You can get it if the owner of the store provides it willingly, otherwise, you need to get a subpoena to get the tape.

1. the store does not have to give you the tape.
2. you can have a court order for the tape.
3. if the store owner has any common sense he would have already destroyed the tape or re-used it to cover himself.

If they allow you to view it you can.
If not, you'll have to go to court to fight for access to the tape.
