NEW YORK - Rosie O'Donnell says she's sorry for mocking spoken Chinese on "The View," but an association that represents journalists from diverse ethnic and racial backgrounds, including Chinese American, says it wasn't enough.

I agree! People are debating over things like the UCLA tasering -- how can Rosie O'Donnell's joke be a question? I watched it and it was hilarious. No one was hurt and it didn't even perpetuate any stereotypes (not that I can think of). I'm Asian and I think her apology was more than enough.

If a famous person makes an ethnic slur should they apologize? Chubbsie is one of the worst people when it comes to this as she always goes after people called them racists and biggots if they make a joke. SO why shouldn't she apologize for making fun of the way a group of people speak? It is her own medicine coming back to bite her in that *** that no one can miss.

I guess I don't really understand why famous people have to apologize for joking or telling people how they really feel. Everyday ordinary people murder and harass and joke but none of them apologize because they have to. If they were so afraid of hurting their public image, don't you think they wouldn't say or do anything. And it's funny how a simple "I'm sorry" (sometimes with money) will make things so right...

I do think that Rosie should apologize for just existing! She should also apologize for using up valuable air and exhaling carbon dioxide. What a waste of space!

I can see why some people without a sense of humor would be offended, but I don't think she should have to apologize for it.

I don't think she does, either. On a show called "The View," one would think she would be allowed to state any thoughts she has on anything. At least, I think that.

Honestly, I couldn't care less. She is still annoying either way and will undoubtedly shove her foot in her mouth again soon.

I didn't see it nor do I know what she said. I do think that people are generally overly sensative.
