Ok yesterday I noticed my undies looking a little rusty, I wasn't sure if it was bloodied or what but I showed hubby and he thought it was blood. Last week I had a little mucus discharge and my doc dismissed it. This morning I went to the bathroom and I had some more mucus the size of my pinky and then about an hour or so later I had a big clump all basically clear with a very light yellowish tinti to it, I even took a picture of it just in case!! My back is KILLING ME, my mild cramps continue, I just turned 36 weeks. You should also know that I'm on meds to stop contractions and I've been on bedrest since 30 weeks, I've started to efface and i'm about 1.5 cm dilated. . . I've gone to my doc like 3 times with cramps and my symptoms of last week, and I've been sent home but today with these two shows of mucus I think it might be my mucus plug. . . what do you all think?? Labor, should I call the doc?? WHAT TO DO??

If your mucus plug comes out & your water breaks you'll know it. It'll be more than just what you are saying, but it does sound like you're in early stages of labor. I would CALL the doctor. I wouldn't just go in 'cause it may be a waste of time. Call & get advice. You should just be able to speak to his nurse.

sounds like your plug yes, but try not to worry this can come out weeks before labour begins, cramps in your stomach etc are not labour pains..you will know you first labour pain when you get it..there is absolutely no mistaking it for anythiing else!! I suggest you take it really easy now as you are only 36 weeks! the back pain is normal..im 39 weeks and have it all the time..and the cramps on and off..but after 3 children i just ignore these little niggles even though sometimes they take my breath away! If you are seriously worried give the hospital a call...everyone is different and im no doctor at the end of the day..can ony give you my opinion!! good luck :))) baby will be here soon!

Sounds to me like someone is going to have a baby real, real soon. I lost my mucus plug on a Tuesday and on Friday I was in labor. So I would say your baby is due any time now. Do the pains in your back come and go and does the pain start in the back and then come around to the front under your belly? If it does, you may be in labor. Make a call to the doctor and describe your symptoms, let them make the call as to whether you should go to the hospital or not.

I am not sure it is your mucus plug but it does seem like you are discharging. But you have already started having contractions, so I would be worried as well. I would goto the emergency room and let them check you out. I mean all they can do is send you home right? Better safe than sorry but I would go to the ER just to be sure. Never take chances. Some doctors think it is just a pregnant mom overreacting but you have had some problems and they should be willing to appease your mind and tell you exactly what it is.

Sorry to read about problem. Doc's never seem to be as concerned as we would hope they would be.
My daughter had problems like this and it was her kidney's. Her back hurt like you decribed.
Are you drinking plenty of water, some Gatorade but water is best.
Men have problem with brownish urine when they don't drink enough and back aches too.
If you are drinking enough water so you are peeing at least 5 to 7 times a day you should be ok with the kidney's.
You will have leakage from plug as walls thin. You will know when water breaks. You will wet the bed. Seen that three times. So try not to worry. That could be part of the problem.

i think you should call the docter because if your back hurts you could be in labor or you could have an infection and all if it is your plug you just have to weight for your labor to start if you dont trust your docter go to the emergency room theres got to be a reason that you are on bedrest get a second oppinon and also if you feel a gush not like you have to pee but like a gush of water like feeling like discharge coming out and it is countinues or every few minutes go to the hospital our water broke and all.

I had cramps my whole pregnancy and the mucus too. I went to the hospital 4 times and I had contractions. the thing that helped me was drinking and drinking lots and lots of WATER. Please make sure your drinking a lot of water and see if that helps. I know its going to make you pee like crazy but it should help sweetie.

your not in labor yet. you just passed your plug call your doctor and let him know he may want to check you. if you start bleeding like a period go in at once. red blood is a bad sign. congrats your baby is slowly on its way

I would call your doctor..frankly, that is why we pay them, to check out all of our issues and concerns. Dont let him dismiss you until you are satisified with the answers. Remember, you are the one that is pregnant, and you are the one that should be in control.
