My brother is 21 and his girlfriend is 17 they live in IL. As of right now they live together with her mom and brothers. If the two of them move out could her mom charge him with statatory rape or not considering she allows them to live together. They want to move out because her mom makes her do all the cleaning and makes the both of them give her their checks on payday while she sits on does nothing (she doesn't have a job). So my question is can they move out without any legal percussions. (Age of consent in IL is 17)

It depends on what kind of person the mother is.
She might just charge him with rape so that they come back and live with her so she doesnt have to get a job.

You have answered your own question. If she is 17 and 17 is the legal ageof consent, of course they can move out without any legal reprecussions. If she is still in school, she may need to continue with that or be found to be truant. I would hope she would continue school anyway.

he couldn't be charged with statatory rape, but it she would be a run away and he could be aiding and abeding and since he's 21 there may extra charges because she's minor-especially if they left IL
