I think you are getting confused my dear. You have a 106 or a 206 not both. 106 have springs yet 206 have torsion bars. You state it has a torsion bar system. I work at a Peugeot garage and don't believe I have seen a 106 past a 52 plate. I can only assume you must have a 206; and if this is the case I wouldn't bother lowering it as this will only cause you this biggest headache you've ever met. I have sold two systems this year for projects that have ended **** up. Its not just the bars themselves you have to worry about. Good luck if you have your heart set on it though!

No, its springs. Get a pair of lowering springs for the rear wheels. They range from 1 to 3 inches. They cost around 50 bucks

if you have a 206, it's easy to lower the rear, but you do need a garage and some heavy tools. unbolt the torsion bar covers at the rear, knock the torsion bars out with a punch and a mallet one side at a time, and raise the arms to the desired height this is very brief explanation. I have done this myself with a vauxhall master tech on a 2yr old 206 and it took 3.5 hours
would deffo reccomend going to www.206info.co.uk for a full guide it is possible though and straightforward, just takes effort
