i, being an opptimist, it means that you've thus far eliminated one possilbe reason for the malfunction. Believe it or not, I've seen many ovens not work because of an automatic timer improperly positioned. If you have a time, check to make sure it's in the proper position to allow the oven to come on. Before you start searching for new elements, I would use an multi testor volt or ohm meter. It's a simple test to check to see if your element is not working, "before" buying new ones. A multi testor (in my opinion) is invaluable for checking appliances around the home. It allows you to save money by checking parts first in your trouble-shooting efforts, instead of buying parts to trouble-shoot. Much cheaper....
If the element tests good, then check the thermostat, the selector swithc, then the timer and finally check for loose connections. All this can be done with a multi testor.....
Good luck
I bought a book that covers most stuff around the house, and it has saved me lots of dough

Does the top of the stove work now that you have changed the fuses? If so, and the inside oven still doesn't work, it means that your element inside is burned and you will have to replace it.

Stretch had some good words there...I'll add this, you have a broiler element and an oven element....does it work on broil?
If not, look at the control for the problem, the odds of both elements going out at once are very low.
Also, you can often see if an element is bad...it will have a hole or burnt through spot on it.
While I'm at it...be sure the connectors on the element are good and tight.
With the power off, of course.

Did you accidentally unplug the oven from the wall receptacle? If not, look at your fuse box or breaker box to see if the circuit had blown.
