Alot of times Windows doesn't manage virtual memory very well when running large graphic intensive programs. To fix it set it manually. For Windows XP, Here we go: Right click My computer and select properties... Click the Advanced Tab and then in the Performance Area, click the Settings button. Click the Advanced Tab again, and at the bottom in the Virtual Memory area click the Change Button. Depending on the number of drives you have - you can set Virtual Memory for all, they will show in the top. Select C: drive and then also select Custom Size: I recommend setting the initial size to at least 256MB and then the maximum size to as large as you want - if your hard drive supports it (free space) set it to 4096MB. Windows will only use what it needs so you can have it as big as you want and when windows needs more it just uses more. That is what the numbers at the bottom are telling you. Hope this helps...

Virtual Memory = the actual memory you have in your PC + hard drive capacity. usually windows have a good virtual memory management system. It gets low because of unwanted programs run in background (usually we dont know about this) This brings your Vmemory significantly down.
