You divide the top and the bottom of 6/27 by 3.
6/3 = 2, 27/3 = 9
This is called reducing the fraction.

BASICALLY... u just find the lowest number that goes into both parts of the fraction.

so here it is 3.

3 goes into 6 twice. and into 27 9 times.

hence 2/9

27 3 * 9

so, as 3 and 3 cancel out from numerator and denominator, remaining is 2/9.
