Ok, this might be a stupid question but if i buy an ipod, can i only put songs on it from itunes or can i put any songs i already have downloaded on my computer?

you can convert the tunes you already have into itunes, it does it for you, its easy

You can also put a pre-recorded CD in your computer and select tracks to be copied to iTunes. I just finished doing about 300 CD's over the past few weekends.

You can move these songs over to the IPOD program. IPOD uses Apples proprietary software and is generally not compatible with other music players

well when i got mine and set it up all the music i had saved on my pc was put onto my ipod then from there on if i wanted to put more on i had to do it through itunes

you could open your Itune then open your music file and drag it into your library file in itune or high light all the song then copy then paste it in your library file in itune
