Politicians may interested only in vote bank politics. But the general perception that reservation affect merit is not true. We may be aware for the last 50 years, it was upper caste people only at the helm of the affairs both at the political and administrative level. Do we sure that things going on well. The people at the helm of the affairs became insensitive, corrupt, criminal and worst bread of self vested people. Why merit people, in general becoming more self interested ? So dont try to link merit with reservation. Ofcourse reservation is not only solution to the problem and creamy layer is a must, which may be difficult in the present scenario.

They surely are and deserve to be kicked on their back for this dirty vote bank politics. We students aren't against reservations. On the contrary we are more eager to achieve equality in the country but there is a correct way to everything, not just blindly passing a bill and trying to become the hero of the oppressed classes. Can you believe that our ex-president K.R.Narayanan's grand daughters and sons would take the reserved benefits despite being in an infinitely better monetary state than an average Indian. This is frustrating. We can't just let it happen, all college and especially school students must come on the streets and stop this injustice from happening otherwise ten years from now our conscience won't let us live when our friends and coming generations would commit suicide because a less capable person would move away with the seat they deserved. COME ON FRIENDS WE CAN"T JUST LET IT HAPPEN.
