I've been tracking this like crazy. Every day a new team seems to be in front for the AI race. The latest is that the Nuggets have the best chance, since they have so many expiring contracts. Philly is looking for:
1. big expiring contracts so they can take them off the books after this year.
2. young prospects
3. draft picks.
...probably in that order. Philly would especially like to get a point guard like Shaun Livingston, Monta Ellis or Randy Foye out of the deal.
They're being patient, because the longer they wait the more suiters they'll have. That's how it usually is at least. Also, today (December 15th) is the first day players who signed new contracts in the off season are eligible to be traded, which is another possible reason why it's taken so long.
