If it is Hemorrhoids you will have a distracting pain.
Even now 8 out of ten have this once in there lifetime.
Nepoleon had it and this discomfort, that lead to his defeat in the battle of Waterloo.Anyway it need not be a Waterloo for you. This can be your swollen veins in the anus area, but they can also be caused by - and remedied by - such things as diet and toilet habits.
No huffing and puffing in the toilet, this will swell and the veins in your rectum.Hard tools make matters worse by scraping the already affected area.
Solution ?.
Drink lot of fluids, eat lots of fiber and oil your your inner workings.
You may help your bowl movements to move smoothly by lubricating your anus with a dab of petroleum jelly with a cotton swab on your finger, apply the jelly about half an inch in to the rectum.
If there is itching do not scratch. You will damage the delicate veins and make matters worse.
A dab of witch oil applied to the rectum with a cotton ball is one of the best remedies available for external hemorrhoids(even if there is bleeding).
If it is a Fissure,it is ulcer.
Get to the bottom of this problem as quickly as possible.
Watch out for diarrhea.
Keep your nails away.
Buff yourself with baby talcum.
Fix " clenZone" underneath your toilet seat.
This is sold by:
Hepp Industries,Inc,.687 Kildare Cresent,Seaford,NY 11783.
Once this is fixed it let's out a stream of water, aimed right where you need it most, does all your "wiping" for you. There is no need of toilet paper, except for one or two sheets to pat yourself dry.
Use ointments that contain vitamin A and D.
IF YOU NOTICE ANY MUCOUS discharge have it checked with your doctor.

Sounds like hemorrhoids and you need over the counter cream to treat it. Visit a doctor if you have doubts. Also sitting in the warmest water tolerated with Epsom Salts will instantly bring great relief. Use 3 tablespoons per gallon of water and do this 3x-4x a day -sitting in it for 10 min. Epsom Salts relieves many simple open sores or general muscle aches because of the ion exchange. Eat a soft diet for now until you feel better. When you feel better, change your ways and make sure you have a better diet of fiber. Eat more whole grain foods and plenty of water. Moderate your intake of carbonated drinks and foods that may "bind" you up. Hope you feel better.

Sounds like you might have a hemorrhoid. If so, use Preparation H. Lack of fiber in your diet causes hemorrhoids, so you need to start eating a high fiber cereal every morning. But you should really ask your doc.

It definately sounds like a hemorhoid (SP?) and preparation H does help. They usually go away within a week, though! I think neosporin (SP?) might help, too.
