When simplifying a fraction, you must first find the greatest common factor between the numerator and the denominator.
Factors of 6 are: 1,2,3,6
Factors of 27 are: 1,3,9,27
The factors they have in common are: 3
Once you find the greatest common factor, use it to divide the numerator and denominator by it:
6 divided by 3 is 2
27 divided by 3 is 9
So the simplified fraction is: 2/9
Hope this helps.
