these types of tanks infuriate me. people who buy them view animals as decorations and entertainment.

that said, it's not suitable for ANY fish. while a betts MIGHT survive in it it would not be happy and would require frequent changes, which would be a hassle since it's hanging on the wall.

I like how it says easy to clean with SOAP and water. lmao... just goes to show you how much the makers actually know and care about fish.

Ack, heavens no, don't put a fish in there. Fish definitely need more water, AND proper filtration to thrive. No fish can thrive in a small bowl / vase / container (a betta would not survive 5 years in a vase, especially without heat, either.)

The minimum for one non-schooling, small fish (betta or killifish) would be 5 gallons. Most other small fish (tetras etc) need 10 gallons at least because they are schools and need a lot of swimming room.

Not an ideal habitat. I'd imagine they would be hard to clean too.

Tanks of that size might be suitable for one betta each, which would be a step up for them from the 4 ounce dixie cups they get sold in, but you won't find me decorating my house with these any time soon.

It's not ideal conditions for any fish. If cleaned regularly, it might be acceptable, although definitely not the best conditions, for a pair of betas. But something hanging on the wall would also seem to be something that wouldn't even regularly be cleaned.

Fish definately need more space than that, I can't imagine what is going through some people's minds when they buy these things.

Smaller fish would do fine in these.
I used to have a betta that I kept in a vase and he lived for 5 years.
