Not necessarily. My wife had a cyst on one of her ovaries in 1980, and she had that ovary removed and soon thereafter she got pregnant with our first child. Four more successful pregnancies later she has shown no ill effects. But have it checked out and removed if there is threat of cancer.

Not necessarily. Some cysts remain small and harmless. Others grow and cause problems. The best course of action is to discuss your concerns with your doctor, then be sure to have regular exams to keep an eye on it. Your doctor should be able to tell you how the cyst will affect your reproductive health and if it should be removed.

Ovarian Cysts are usually harmless as long as you are aware of them. If they exist during your pregnancy the doctors will monitor the size of a cyst. Most of the time they go away. I had a 9mm Cyst removed while I was 5 months pregnant.

i have them also. they hurt like heck. my doctor says that i still ovulate and can still conceive. i have one child now and have been trying for another. with my last one he had to do a test. i can't remember what it is called but he put this dye through my ovaries (it really hurt) but within 2 months i was pregnant. lay off on the caffeine and that will help the cyst stay small.

No. I have had ovarian cysts for years. I have two healthy boys and had no problem getting pregnant. Also no problems during the pregnancy. Cysts are very normal in women.

No. First of all, you have two (2) ovaries so even if they REMOVE one, the other can still be producing eggs and hormones or whatever.
Secondly, polycystic ovarian syndrome runs in my family, my grandmother, two (2) aunts and several cousins have had cysts on their ovaries and they all managed to have kids. Grandma and the aunts eventually had to have their ovaries (both) removed because there were so many cysts by the time they hit their late 30's or 40's but they all had kids.
Having cysts didn't affect anyone's fertility until it got bad and the ovaries had to be removed. Lots of women have kids even with a cyst or cysts on one or both ovaries.
Also, there are women with no cysts who are infertile... you just never know...
