LOL

You were beaten to that by not only the Victorians who used a parasol, but also the Chinese and various desert cultures who all used similar items to keep the sun off.

And now we have not only cheap pink umbrellas we can buy already, but sunscreen and sunglasses. Why do we need anything else?

To be honest, unless your invention boasts any really exciting new features, I think you're onto a loser...

Just for interest, the umbrella itself was actually invented as a sunshade, hence its name UMBRella - from the Latin 'umbra' meaning shadow.

I think you are at least a few thousand years too late with your invention... the parasol has been around for a long time! Unless, of course, your invention provides not only shade, but also power to run an iPod via a solar cell unit woven into the fabric. :- )

A sun-brella? Does this radiate sun-light on you - or is it to protect you from the ever-increasing heat from the sun? Are you suggesting we will need further protection as the globe warms? Cos, I'm pretty sure this has already been invented and is called a parasole! Sorry to burst your balloon lol :-)

the sunbrella. HAHAHAHAHA.

or the parasol as it was called in victorian times, and still is called as it's used on pushchairs we have no need for them now as we use suncream/sunblock.

umbrellas are used to shade from the sun now in warmer climates so dont come knocking on my door trying to sell your wares.

Ask Ray, or his wife Violet. She could give you an ultra good answer, or tan your hide for being nosey sunbeam.
