It maybe because you were treated so well the first two times that come to expect it to always be like that. When the bad thing happens you become disappointed. It is a shame, an off night is bound to happen.

Usually bad things come with consequences or punishments... So, you automatically "remember" those times when you either didnt do the "right thing" or something wasnt done to you, the "right way" and you were either the recipient of punishment or you were the "giver" of the punishment...
Either way, you will generally remember the bad things because you were unhappy and probably unkind also...
