Do not format your system.

You have a conflict somewhere. We had a similar problem which involved the USB system bus and an internal CD Burner. When the end user attempted to use a USB flash drive or burn a CD the system would blue screen or shut down.

When you reinstalled Windows it probably created a few incompatible settings that satisfy Windows, but actually cause issues.

1. First thing you should try is use Device Manager to delete the DVD drive.

2. Most computers have a set of software drivers for the chipset on the mainboard. If you can get ahold of these software drivers, reinstall them.

3. Reboot your computer and let it redect the DVD drive

4. Test to see if the problem is resolved.

5. If you still have issues try updating the DVD drive software driver with the one that actually shipped with the product.

there could be many reasons for these
1}problem occuring is mainly caused by the player:
ur using
give the name of the player ur using so i can more thorougly think about it. or visit player website

2}may be caused by an antivirus program:
most of the antivirus programs like Norton scan virus threats as they Cd/dvds are inserted which may cause a crash
so to avoid this turn off the protection tempereroly and try playing dvd if problem doesnt occurs contact antivirus help..

3}may be pc is connected to removable usb mass storage
remove any USB mass storage conected to the pc

4}may be caused by display device
may be player ur using or codec which is used during play requires so framework to run which is currupted or unavailable to the pc which is causing the probelm

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.

attempt downloading yet another media record and note if that fixes it. As in VLC or realplayer bs media participant perhaps you used a unique ext. or codec record that media participant doesnt use.
