996 kms down the Pacific Highway it will be an overnight trip. During the week is the best time to go. Then all the idiots are off the road. I do it a least 4 times a year. Take your time.
Or fro $100 you can fly and it TAKES 1 HOUR not 2 LIKE SOME PEOPLE WOULD SAY!!!

there are two highways linking brisbane to sydney. the distances are much the same , around the 1000 km/600 ml. the quickest way is the inland,or new england hyw,while the coastal, pacific hyw., is worth while taking two or three days to complete.

you dont want to travel by road from bisbane to sydney, i've done it before, once and once only, and it was the worst experience ever it took something in excess of 10 hours. just fly from brisbane to sydney, it will take you about 2 hours by plane....
